Writing for Impact
Did
your cover letter and résumé capture the attention of the reader, leading to
the job interview? Did you receive the raise you wanted? Was your
proposal for purchasing
new computer equipment accepted? When you wrote an email asking for
volunteers for the office Christmas party, did you immediately receive
positive responses?
In this
presentation you will learn how to write quickly and easily so that you will
get the results you want - - all the time. You'll learn how to motivate
your readers to act and react the way you want them to by:
- Using the "Effective Grid" and the "Fishing
Model" to hook readers into the communication, feed them the lines
(content), and end the communication with one of the 6 powerful "Sinkers"
(closing statements).
- Learning the 12 most persuasive words in the American English
language, and how and when to use them.
- Learning the 12 most demotivating words and how to avoid using
them.
By
following these suggestions, you should achieve the results you want through
any written communication. After all, writing is easy - - you don't have to
"drip" blood every time you write!
